Karen's Bio
Karen Shenk, our former president, passed away in 2015. In addition to her 10 years overseeing the daily operations of Agape Care, she served seniors for 20 years at the Next Gen Senior Center. Working with her mother, Nancy Morrow, director for 25 years, the senior center became the hub from which programs and services help seniors maintain their dignity and independence.
That legacy lives on to this day through Agape Care. Karen’s heart for people, and her extravagant love, still permeate every facet of who we are. Focus on the Family defines agape love as:
“Unconditional love that is always giving and impossible to take or be a taker. It devotes total commitment to seek your highest best no matter how anyone may respond. This form of love is totally selfless and does not change whether the love given is returned or not.”
