About UsA-AA+

Agape Care believes offering varying levels of service provides our clients the continuum of care they need to remain in their homes as their needs increase and change.

Agape Care is a Pennsylvania, state licensed, non-medical agency providing in-home care services for Seniors, Veterans, and the disabled, as well as individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Intellectual Disabilities and long term illnesses. We also assist those recovering from operations with the services they need to remain or recover in their own homes. These services often help ease family tensions and fears while providing much needed “respite care” for those who daily serve as caregivers for a family member or loved one.

Agape Care believes offering varying levels of service provides our clients the continuum of care they need to remain in their homes as their needs increase and change.

Each kind and compassionate Agape Care caregiver is thoroughly and carefully pre-screened, interviewed, bonded and insured assuring top quality care and compatibility.

For your security, the following clearances are required: Pennsylvania Criminal History, ChildLine, and F.B.I. finger printing. Every caregiver must obtain the minimum of a Pennsylvania Personal Care Assistant certification and participate in continuing education and yearly skills testing.

Agape Care offers in home care services in Lancaster, PA and throughout Lancaster County, utilizing the skills and experience of compassionate caregivers under the direction of our skilled management team.

Karen Shenk

Karen Shenk, founder of Agape Care, passed away in 2015. In addition to her 10 years overseeing the daily operations of Agape Care, she served seniors for 20 years at the Next Gen Senior Center. Working with her mother, Nancy Morrow, Director for 25 years, the senior center became the hub from which programs and services help seniors maintain their dignity and independence.

That legacy lives on to this day through Agape Care. Karen’s heart for people, as well as her extravagant love, still permeate every facet of who we are. Focus on the Family defines agape love as:

“Unconditional love that is always giving and impossible to take or be a taker. It devotes total commitment to seek your highest best no matter how anyone may respond. This form of love is totally selfless and does not change whether the love given is returned or not.”

Karen lived her life this way, and it’s how we still choose to live ours
